![]() Yes, in exactly one situation: The enemy fields tanks a class higher than yours. Does it work? Yes.Originally posted by egp_2401:So I am producing medium tanks to make them my main tank but I saw the tank destroyer variant and researched it, I see that the breaktrhough value(I am talking about the first medium tank for Germany)is MUCH lower and soft attack is also quite lower, I want to use tanks as independent units that do not neccesarly need infantry support, so are tank destroyers worth producing? But I dont think it would add much to HOI4)Ĭould the current system be better? Yes. A minimalistic game that pretty much look like an Excel spreadsheet. Balancing multiple resources to maximize production and profits. (In fact, I think I would love to try a game like that. It would however be a spreadsheet simulator. But as the game is built at the moment I doubt we would gain much in gameplay. We could probably have even more resources and make each piece of equipment require a realistic amount of resources. Also, making medium and heavy tanks using different materials is probably to make people build both types of tanks. Making light tanks cost neither Tungsten or Chromium to build makes them viable even late in the war as a cheap alternatime when you dont have enough resources. My guess would be that the requirements is for game balance more than anything. I would guess that Paradox choose to name them "Tungsten" and "Chromium" because it sounds more satisfying than "Rare 1" and "Rare 2". Feels like we have pretty much a "Rare Materials 1" and "Rare Materials 2".
